Calling All Bar-people: Next Wednesday, August 15 at 10am, Ein Stein’s Restaurant, Pier Ave, HB, hosts the California Alcoholic Beverage Control as they teach a special class for bartenders and serving staff on recognizing fake IDs, how to know when to cut off patrons, etc. The class is open to chamber and non-chamber members and will be beneficial for all those in the hospitality industry. Pajama Party: Tonight, Thursday, August 9 check out Flirt Productions’ "Club Devious Jammy Jam Party," at the Manhattan Bar & Grill, Manhattan Beach Boulevard, MB. Mahalo Nui Loa: The Aloha Days Surf Festival takes place this Saturday and Sunday, August 11-12, Pier Plaza, HB. The longboard surf contest at 7am serves as a reunion for generations of South Bay surfers, and the Hawaiian festival which goes on all day with live entertainment from authentic Hawaiian bands, reggae bands, surf bands, Tahitian dancers, plus arts and crafts, fashion shows, vendors and food booths serves as a big luau for the rest of us.
