Regents win state championship
The El Segundo Regents Squirt BB Ice Hockey Team, made up of local 10- and 11-year- olds, recently won the State Championship Tournament. The Regents defeated Tri Valley (2-0) San Jose (5-2) and San Diego (5-0, 4-0) to become the California Amateur Hockey Association Champions. They also won the recent Pikes Peak Tournament in Colorado Springs where 100 teams from 22 states and Canada competed.
