Letter carriers food drive
Residents are urged to leave canned food next to their mailboxes today for collection by local letter carriers who are participating in the largest single-day food drive in the country. Last year over 3.5 million pounds of food were donated to food banks and other charities.
Rebuild the preserve
Habitat Restoration Days at the Madrona Marsh Preserve in Torrance is from 9 a.m.-noon today. 35 acres of upland back dune are being restored with native wild flowers. Rover Rescue volunteers
