Business expo and job fair

The El Segundo Business Expo and 2nd Annual Job Fair is being held at Healthsouth Training Center, 555 N. Nash Street. Local businesses in the South Bay area are exhibiting and free seminars on interviewing and resume writing are offered. 5-7:30 p.m. 322-1220.

Guys and Dolls

Manhattan Beach Middle School is presenting "Guys and Dolls" today and tomorrow, Friday, May 4 in the multipurpose room. Show times today are 8:50 a.m., 11:25 a.m. and 7 p.m. Friday show times are 9:25 a.m., 11:40 a.m. and 7 p.m. Admission is free.

West Side Story

Redondo Union High School’s performing arts department is presenting "West Side Story" tonight through Saturday, May 5 at the school’s auditorium. Tickets are $8 adults, $6 for seniors and children. Box office opens at 7 p.m., performance begins at 7:30 p.m. 798-8665, ext. 2041.

Chorus Line

Mira Costa’s drama department is presenting "A Chorus Line" tonight through Saturday, May 5. Show time is 7 p.m. with an additional matinee performance on Saturday at 2 p.m. Advance tickets are $9 and $7, $10 and $8 at the door. 318-7337, ext. 5242.

Tax seminar

Realtors trade fair

The Greater South Bay Realtors Trade Fair, which includes Inglewood, Palos Verdes Peninsula and South Bay associations/boards, is today at the Torrance Marriott. The fair includes seminars, hands-on workshops, food, beverages, entertainment, and prizes. 10 a.m.-3 p.m. 372-8453.

Rummage sale

The Hermosa Beach Woman’s Club Evening Division is holding a rummage sale today at the Kiwanis Club, 2515 Valley Drive, HB. Furniture, clothes, jewelry, books, toys and a wide variety of household items will be on sale. 8 a.m. 594-6513.

Springtime fiesta

The 45th annual garden tour sponsored by the PV Woman’s Club features five private gardens in RPV, PVE and Rolling Hills. Proceeds benefit local student scholarships. $20 members/$25 non-members includes a light lunch at PV Art Center. 10 a.m.-3:30 p.m. 377-7810.

Beachstock music festival

A tribute to classic rock with continuous live music from various bands is being presented today and tomorrow, Sunday, May 6 at Seaside Lagoon Park in Redondo Beach. Food, wine and spirits, arts and crafts, amusements and sand sculpture are also part of the festivities. Poetry, the rhythm of healing

Pre-Mother’s day brunch

Temple Menorah Sisterhood, 1101 Camino Real, Redondo Beach, is having a Pre-Mother’s Day brunch with a morning of learning and sharing while celebrating mothers. Everyone is welcome. 10 a.m.-noon. $7.50 per person. RSVP 373-3025.

Dog parade

The City of Hermosa Beach is hosting the Annual Dog Parade and Trick Show. All entries will be judged and everyone will receive a goodie bag and participant prizes. The parade begins on the green belt at Valley and Gould. All dogs must be on a leash. 11 a.m. 318-0280.

Garden tour
