Smooth sailing planned for Marine Ave.
The Marine Avenue Resurfacing Project, which began on March 5, involves reconstruction of median islands, refurbishment of the irrigation system, and resurfacing of the street with rubberized asphalt along the stretch of Marine Avenue extending from Sepulveda to Aviation Boulevard. Although temporary inconvenience may be experienced during the course of construction, once the work is completed both motorists and residents can look forward to enjoying a smoother driving surface, improved median safety and revitalized landscaping and greenery along this much-traveled section of Marine Avenue. The project is scheduled to be completed by the end of May.
