Lunch hour recital

Trinity Lutheran Church in Manhattan Beach is presenting a lunch hour recital featuring the Mira Costa Flute Quartet, which includes Erin (Prouty) Kruse. Box lunches, coffee, tea and soft drinks will be sold after the performance. 12:15 p.m. 546-3106.

Art excursion

Arts Manhattan is sponsoring a tour of the best public contemporary art that lies underground en route the Metro Red Line. The excursion includes bus transportation, tours and luncheon. $45 for members, $55 for non-members. Departs at 9 a.m. from 811 John Street, MB. 798-4904.

Dance party day

The Knob Hill Community Center in Redondo Beach is having a day long dance party led by various dance instructors. You can dance all day, or for an hour or two, or just listen to the music. Light refreshments. 3-9 p.m. 318-0650.

Volleyball classes

Five-week Saturday volleyball classes for adults and youths (ages 8-14) begin today. Adult classes are from 9-10:30 a.m. Youth classes are from 10:30-11:30 a.m. Classes meet on the south side of the Hermosa Pier. Sign up at the HB Community Center. Hooley time

The South Bay St. Patrick’s Day Parade Committee’s annual fundraiser Hooley (Irish party) is tonight. St. Patrick’s dance

Lenten fish fries

The Knights of Columbus Council #1990 in Redondo Beach is having its annual Lenten Friday fish fries, which includes fried or baked fish, french fries, roll and salad bar. South Bay Women in Travel is hosting a cooking class charity fundraiser today at the Palos Verdes Country Club.
