How To Skew Religion To Work For You: In a recent convo, I was informed by someone claiming medical proof that if one is a drinker, one should quit for about a month every year in order to give the kidneys and liver a break so that one may go on drinking for a long, long time without incurring too much damage to those areas. My reply to this was, "Yeah, thats what Lent is for." Lent, in the Catholic religion, is the period of time for reflection prior to Easter beginning on Ash Wednesday, (next week, February 28), and ending on Good Friday, 40 days later. Not being a religious person, I just use Lent as an excuse to challenge myself. By the way, whatever you give up for Lent you are allowed to have on Sundays. Thats us modern Catholics skewing it up again for our own gain. Think you can do it? Hmm, 40 days
