Winter camp
The Friends of the Madrona Marsh is sponsoring a Winter Science Camp today and tomorrow, Wednesday, Dec. 27. The camp is designed for anyone nine years and older and involves participating in taking a census survey of resident small mammals. Meet at the Natural History Center, 3201 Plaza Del Amo, Torrance from 1 4 p.m. $7.50 per person and $15 per family for each day of camp. Reservations required. 618-2720.

The Roundhouse Marine Studies Lab and Aquarium in Manhattan Beach wish list consists of the following items: bean bags; towels; craft and office supplies; a digital camera; high quality scanner; storage units; teaching props; photo copy machine; zip disks; and marine-themed: books, childrens puzzles and animal puppets. Brighten the holidays for needy kids
South Bay area Jamba Juice locations in Manhattan Beach, Hermosa Beach, Redondo Beach and Palos Verdes are collecting new toys, clothes, shoes, and cash donations for Skys the Limit, a San Pedro-based charity that provides assistance to underprivileged children (infant 3 years old) and children with special needs, now through Christmas Eve. 284-6820.
