About Town: Manhattan Beach
Holiday firework show
The Manhattan Coolers, in cooperation with the City of Manhattan Beach, will host a holiday fireworks show at the city pier 5 to 6:30 p.m. Sunday. Entertainment to be featured includes: the Hyperion Outfall Serenaders, a sing-a-long with the John Brown Band, and the Chamber of Commerce’s Santa Claus float. There will also be a canned food and toy drive sponsored by the Torrance South Bay YMCA and the Sandpipers.
Spaghetti Dinner
The Manhattan Beach Firefighters Association will host a charity spaghetti dinner 4:30 to 7:30 p.m. Sunday at the fire station, 400 15th St. The event will be "all you can eat," with tickets costing $5 for adults and $3 for the kids. All proceeds will benefit local charities. ER
