Closed: Surf Like A Girl, Pier Ave, HB. They are moving the inventory to the store in Manhattan Beach. Takeover: Local restaurateur Chris Pike of Sangria, HB, 12th Street, MB, Sidedoor, MB, Las Olas, HB, and Las Palmas, Hollywood, has taken over Wolgang Puck’s Obachine, North Beverly Drive, Beverly fsHills and will be opening a new resto called Joya featuring Italian cuisine. Funny, there is no "J" or "Y" in the Italian alphabet! He is bringing in Brian Cialuzzo, friend and Hard Rock manager to manage the joint. Joya will be open for a New Year’s celebration and will close again for whatever fine tuning needs to be done before truly opening to the public. The plan is to base it on Sangria's model: Mainly a club with good food ta boot, this time Italian rather than Sangria’s Spanish/Mediterranean cuisine. If the new spot is anything like his previous endeavors, it will be fab…
