Fashion show

Name that bird

Learn about the biology and ecology of local birds by attending the "Birds of the Canyon" class held at the George F Canyon Nature Center from 7 a.m. - 9 a.m. This class is held on the third Saturday of each month and is designed for adults and children 8 years and older. $5 per family. Buddy system

Project Car Show

The 5th Annual Project Touch/Easy Reader Fall Classic Car Show will be held today at Clark Field in Hermosa Beach. Donations needed

From November 2 through November 12, the Inside Out Wellness Center in RB will be travelling to Honduras to provide chiropractic care and donations to thousands of Hondurans living in extreme poverty and in the aftermath of Hurricane Mitch. Donations are taken daily at the Center. Supplies needed are adult and children clothing, children's Spanish books, sanitary napkins, monetary donations to UNICEF or CARE, multivitamins for children and adults. Used bike round-up

The Bike Shop at 430 Pier Avenue, Hermosa Beach and The Manhattan Beach Community Church's fifth annual used bike round up program is underway. Denoted bikes are reconditioned and given to underprivileged children in the greater LA area. Children's bikes that don't require major repairs are preferred, but adult bikes can be used for older kids. If interested in donating a bike, or contributing to the helmet fund, call 374-4174 or drop off bikes at The Bike Shop.
