Two teenagers walked into a store on the 300 block of Torrance Boulevard and pulled handguns on an employee. They demanded the store's cash, and took off with the contents of the register as well as handfuls of lighters and cigars.

Pick on someone else

On a midweek evening, a woman was headed back to her car after shopping at a store on the 1400 block of Hawthorne Boulevard. A young man in his 20's man ran up to her and tried to yank her purse off her shoulder. When she wouldn't give up her bag and started screaming, the man ran away.

Surprise!

A man broke into a house on the 2200 block of Dufleur by slipping through an open window. He didn't get far, as he ran into the resident, and took off without taking anything.

Three times gone

Three cars were stolen from the 1800 block of Hawthorne Boulevard last week. The 77th Street Division of the Los Angeles Police Department turned up a 1986 Toyota van stolen from a parking lot on Tuesday. A 2000 Acura 3.2TL stolen last Sunday was found by the Hawthorne Police Department. And a 1987 Pontiac Grand Prix was driven off Saturday has yet to be found. ER
