Armed robbery
A woman who had just taken $450 out of her bank account was robbed at gunpoint Tuesday afternoon in a parking lot on the 2900 block of N. Sepulveda.
After returning to her car to retrieve a forgotten shopping list, she was accosted by a man who came up behind her and pushed an object, which she believed to be a gun, into her ribs. He told her not to look up at him or he'd do her in. He then took her money and fled on foot.
Rosecrans slasher
A woman who parked her car on the 1500 block of Rosecrans Avenue discovered both of her Honda's rear tires had been slashed. Further inspection revealed the right side of her vehicle had also been scratched. She said she didn't know who damaged her vehicle.
Woman threatened
A resident on Ardmore Street reported that she had been receiving threatening letters. She also reported that rocks had been thrown into her yard, one of which destroyed a large potted plant.
She said that due to the threatening nature of the letters, and the rocks, she fears for the safety of her dogs.
Gas berries
A woman reported that someone had tampered with her car as it sat parked on Cordoba Court. The gas cap had been loosened and the gas tank neck had been filled with black berries from trees inside her complex.
She said she had no conflicts with any of her neighbors, and was uncertain whether any further damage had been done to her car.
Bicycle Thief
Someone entered an open garage at a home on the 100 block of Marine Avenue on Wednesday. Some boxes were moved around, and a bicycle was stolen. Nobody was seen or heard during the theft. ER
