Bagged

Petty thefts occurred at Old Navy on Rosecrans Avenue, Sept. 6 and 7, continuing a recent spate of thefts that have plagued the store in the past few weeks. On Sept. 6, a male adult took a blue sweater, a pair of jeans and a pair of socks from display racks and concealed the merchandise in a white Old Navy plastic bag. He then walked up to a register, returned unrelated items, paid for the jeans and socks, but did not pay for the sweater. He was apprehended by store security after walking out the door, at which time he voluntarily returned the sweater.

Stuffed shirts

On Sept. 7, a female juvenile selected five shirts, two skirts and four pairs of sleep bottoms from display racks at Old Navy and placed them into a shopping cart. Thinking no one was watching, she stuffed the shirts in an Old Navy bag, tucked the other items into her coat sleeves and waistband of her pants and attempted to exit the store without paying. She was stopped outside the store for shoplifting. ER
