Robbery
Saturday morning, a man walked into a store on the 2100 block of Artesia Boulevard and pointed a gun that looked like an automatic at an employee. The gunman demanded money from the safe. When the employee handed over the cash along with some U.S. postal stamps, the robber fled.
Break'in
Two teenaged boys broke into a store on the 1800 block of Hawthorne Boulevard with a pair of channel lock pliers Friday night. They took off with some of the store's property, but were later found in Lawndale with the goods in their possession and were arrested.
Da front is like a car
Someone popped the hood on a 1978 Chevrolet El Camino parked on the 1700 block of Hawthorne Boulevard Sunday afternoon. They cut the wires to the anti-theft alarm, then broke into the vehicle. The thief made off with the car's stereo, a case full of CDs and a set of keys.
Boogie night
A blue 1986 Nissan pick-up was broken into on the 100 block of W. Torrance Boulevard last Wednesday night. Three boogie boards and several swim fins were stolen.
