Three-Day Eventing
A three-day classic Olympics carriage driving event to benefit "Ride to Fly" begins today and continues through Sunday from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Ernie Howlett Park This is one of only three Olympic sports in which men and women compete equally. Music, Food, Cars--Varoom!
The 12th Annual Taste in San Pedro and Classic Car Show will offer foods from around the world, wonderful music and entertainment from 11:30 a.m.-7 p.m. and exciting cars, and many children's activities both Saturday and Sunday, August 13, at Point Fermin Park. Wet knees and a microscope -- say what?
Seventh through 9th graders can observe seashore marine life, such as sea spiders and skeleton shrimp, tow for plankton and study their finds through a microscope, Monday through Friday, August 18, from 9 a.m.-noon.
