The Island Jam Band washes onto the Redondo Beach Pier on a prevailing current of tropical rhythms. They be jamm'in at 6:30 p.m. Thursday, August 3. Fresh off the "Monsters of Hula Tour," The Hula Monsters play their own brand of Hulabilly-blues Saturday, August 5 at 6:30 p.m. on the Pier. Hailing from New Orleans Square in Disneyland, the Bayou Brass Band plays Creole Jazz so hot you could blacken a crawfish on the trombonist, Thursday, August 10 at 6:30 p.m. on the Pier. Free.

Feet of clay
Starting out with a block of clay, local Sculptor Edie Pfeifer carves out human figures from blocks of solid clay, before firing and painting them in with an unusual process. Her one-woman show opens at Harmony Works located at 1705 S. Catalina Avenue in the Rivera Village on Saturday, August 5.
