Life savers for dinner
Kick-start the International Surf Festival with the guys and gals who fish out grommets that are pounded too hard. The Lifeguard Medal of Valor Dinner benefits the L.A. County Lifeguard Trust Fund. Aviation Park High Reunion

Feet of clay
Local sculptor Edie Pfeifer carves human figures from blocks of solid clay, before firing and painting them in an unusual manner. Her one-woman show opens at Harmony Works located at 1705 S.
