NFL: Irvin's gone, Deion's gone, apparently I'm going to endure much heckling this season - no matter. Thank Paul Tagliabue football is starting again because the lull since the end of the NBA season was killing me. It all starts this weekend, Hall of Fame Weekend, with the Hall of Fame induction ceremonies this Saturday, July 29 and ends with the Hall of Fame Game between New England and San Fran on Monday night, July 31 - the 2nd ever Monday night broadcast of a Hall of Fame Game. In between we got: Atlanta/Indianapolis and New Orleans/NYJ Saturday, July 29 at 4pm and 5pm respectively; Pittsburgh/Dallas and Philly/Cleveland Sunday, July 30 at 4pm and 5pm respectively. Look forward to other pre-season hi-lights: the American Bowl between Atlanta and Dallas played in Tokyo on August 5; the 1999 Super Bowl rematch between the Rams and Titans August 14; and another American Bowl between Indy/Pitts played in Mexico City on August 19. The last week-end of pre-season will be Thursday-Saturday, August 24-26. Then we can get down to business...
