A rose is a rose
Arzu Arda Kosar of Redondo, will have a living art exhibit on display today through September 3 at the Angels' Gate Cultural Center. Immigrant Eyes is a large scale map of LA county made up of live flowers. The Tech Coast

The Manhattan Beach Police Department will host a pancake breakfast Saturday July 29 from 9-11 a.m. at Manhattan Heights Park, 1600 Manhattan Beach Boulevard, in recognition of the 20th Anniversary of Neighborhood Watch in Manhattan Beach. Summer blast!
Summer JamFest 2000 offers three, two-week sessions beginning July 24 through August 31, each with a different summer theme. Campers can attend a full day session or a half day session. Food Finders
Merchants donate food, Food Finders delivers it free of cost to service agencies to help feed the impoverished and hungry folds in LA and Orange counties. Food Finders is also a referral source for individuals, directing them where to go for help. To volunteer, call 562-598-3003.
Clean up the site
Help clean up Room 14 at the Hermosa Beach Community Center, 710 Pier Avenue, Hermosa Beach. The site needs new carpet, linoleum in the kitchen and much more. The estimated cost is nearly $5,000. The Easter Seals wish list, includes a new stove, refrigerator, vacuum, sofa and much more. 376-3445.
