Reminding that a free public premier of "Ironman," a video film loosely centered upon Hermosa's biggest unofficial Fourth of July event, is 8:30 p.m. today at TJ Charley'z, 1332 Hermosa Ave. The independent comedy film by Warner Lombardo Productions features professional actors including former heavyweight boxing champion Ken Norton. Also featured are participants in the "Ironman," including former Hermosa mayor and non-heavyweight champ Bob Benz. In the 25-year-old "Ironman," participants run a mile on the beach, paddle a mile in the ocean and return to land to chug a six-pack of beer and try not to throw it up. Most have scant success with that last part. Owners of the trademark Ironman name have threatened to sue to make organizers of the loosley organized Hermosa event stop using the moniker. ER
