Mira Costa plans 50th Anniversary Reunion party

An estimated 10,000 Mira Costa High School alumni and alumnae are expected to return to campus on Saturday July 29 for the school's 50th All Class Reunion. Opening ceremonies will begin at noon in Waller Stadium. There will be food booths, a kids' area, class year booths, vintage cars, music, and memorabilia. At 4:30 the alumni we will leave Mira Costa for hors d' oeuvres and a no host bar at local restaurants. Each class will be assigned a restaurant.

Many of the campus clubs and teams have planned special events.

La Vista staffers are invited to help produce a special reunion magazine, which will serve as an event program. - Calling all news hounds! Past La Vista editors Kendra Fleagle Gorlitsky ('69) and Kitty Roberts Nix ('67), are editing the magazine. Former students are invited to contribute. The gates will open at 11 a.m. No parking will be available on-site because the campus will be undergoing extensive renovation. Parking will be at remote sites, served by shuttle busses.
