Back in the saddle

About Town - Redondo Beach

Back in the saddle

Former Redondo Beach City Manger Bill Kirchhoff has been hired by the City of West Covina to oversee a section of the city's planning and engineering department. Kirchhoff recently settled several lawsuits against the City of Redondo Beach, collecting over $1.7 million in total. City officials explained their decision to fire Kirchhoff as a need for a different style of management after several of Kirchhoff's subordinates were accused of spying on a Police Officer's Association meeting. One of the key points of Kirchhoff's suits was that he would no longer be employable as a city manager.
