Attendant robbed

A parking attendant at a city lot was robbed at gunpoint about shortly before 1 a.m. Friday, police said.

The attendant was inside the parking shack at Lot A off Hermosa Avenue when he was approached by a man who pulled a handgun from his pocket.

"Give me all the money," the man said.

The attendant did so, handing over about $200.

"Don't call the police or I'll shoot you," the gunman said.

The attendant waited as the man fled on foot, then went to another attendant at a nearby lot and called police.

Wedding ring gone

A Canoga Park woman reported that she left her $3,500 diamond wedding ring on a towel on the beach north of the pier. When she returned to the towel the ring set was gone. The incident occurred Sunday afternoon.

All's fair

A Hermosa woman reported that her cell phone was missing from her backpack after she attended the Fiesta Hermosa street fair on Saturday. ER
