School Board seat up for grabs

The Redondo Beach Unified School District is accepting applications from those interested in filling the seat vacated by former school board member Zeke Zeidler.
Zeidler left the board last month after taking a full-time position with the Juvenile Court system.
Letters of intent and completed applications will be accepted as late as 1 p.m. on July 15. Whomever the board selects will have the opportunity to serve until March 2001 election, when the seat comes up for election.
To be eligible to serve on the Board of Education, applicants must be 18 years old or older, a resident of the school district, a registered voter and not otherwise disqualified from holding civil office.
