Kayak diver Mike D., of San Dimas, shows off the white sea bass he speared in the kelp beds off of Torrance Beach on Sunday morning. The Sea Lab at the AES Power Plant in Redondo Beach releases 45,000 white sea bass from its hatchery annually into the Santa Monica Bay. Each fish is tagged in the cheek. Fisherman who catch the fish are asked to send the tag and information about the fish to the SeaLab for its study. Photo by Kevin Cody
