Blue Zones Project – Beach Cities Health District
Before you sit down to the showdown between the Denver Broncos and the Seattle Seahawks in Super Bowl XLVIII, mount your own defense to the finger food fiesta that’s synonymous with the big game by lacing up your sneakers for the Redondo Beach Super Bowl Sunday 10K/5K.
Join more than 9,000 fitness enthusiasts on Sunday, Feb. 2, 7:30 a.m. at King Harbor for one of the Beach Cities’ premier races.
Need a little extra motivation? Join the Blue Zones Project’s® “Blue Crew.” Be one of the first 50 participants to email BlueZonesProject@bchd.org, or call the front desk at 310-374-3426, ext. 110, and you’ll receive an official “Blue Crew” t-shirt and a $10 gift card to a participating Blue Zones Restaurant®.
Maybe the healthy start to your day will inspire you to steer clear of the wings and dips and beeline for the crudités. After all, the most popular item consumed during the Super Bowl: vegetables.
