Manhattan Beach police arrested seven suspects Thursday in connection to a string of car burglaries earlier that morning by tracking a stolen phone to a home in Compton, according to police.

In the early morning hours on Thursday, MBPD received reports of several burglarized cars–unlocked and locked–parked in the 2500 block of Poinsettia Avenue. Detectives tracked one of the stolen items to a home in the 400 block of West Raymond Street in Compton. Deputies from the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department responded to the location and detained several subjects inside and outside of the home, according to police.

When Manhattan Beach detectives arrived to the location, they arrested seven individuals in connection to the case. All of the reported stolen property was recovered. Police also recovered a loaded firearm and parts of a stolen vehicle from the Long Beach Police Department, among other stolen property.

The following individuals face charges of burglary, receiving stolen property, conspiracy and possession of burglary tools: Angel Jesus Gallardo, 22, of Compton; Smith Fernando Garcia, 21, of Los Angeles; Juan Luna Lopez, 47, of Compton; Oscar Osiris Rodriguez, 20, of Los Angeles; Margarita Guiterrez, 20, of Compton; Julio Raul Garcia, 24, of Los Angeles, and Jorge Antonio Estrada, 26, of Los Angeles.

Anyone who has seen any of these suspects or fell victim to a similar crime on Thursday is urged to call MBPD Sgt. Paul Ford at 310-802-5123 or Det. Shawn Thompson at 310-802-5124.
