Two suspects attempted to steal an entire bike rack with one bike attached around 2:30 p.m. on Dec. 23. The rack, located in front of Scotty’s on the Strand, was halfway loaded into a Ford Ranger truck when police were called and able to stop them before they drove away. Police reported that one of the suspects claimed that the bike attached to the rack was his, and he had lost his key. Police searched the truck and arrested one man for possession of prescription medications without a prescription. The bike rack was returned to its original spot on the Strand.
