Beach Cities voters favored Bloomfield, opposed Prop. 30 [VOTING CHART]

Voters in the Beach Cities cast their ballots fairly consistently with how voters throughout the district and state made their selections, except for Proposition 30 and for Congress.

A majority in the Beach Cities cast their ballots against Proposition 30, which funds schools and was approved statewide by 52.8 percent of voters in last week’s election.

Voters in each of the Beach Cities also supported President Obama over Mitt Romney and Bill Bloomfield over Henry Waxman in the 33rd Congressional District.

Voters in Hermosa Beach and Redondo Beach favored Democrat Al Muratsuchi over Republican Craig Huey in the 66th Assembly race, while voters in Manhattan Beach favored Huey by a mere 20 votes: 6,814 to 6,794.

The Los Angeles County Registrar-Recorder and County Clerk’s Office is updating vote totals with more than 325,000 provisional ballots. Election results will be finalized Dec. 7.

  1. 78% of Muratsuchi’s winning margin came from; Gardena, the Los Angeles 15th City District and West Carson. As of 11:33am on Election Day, Republican Vote by Mail returns were down 35.33% and the subsequent vote counts by the Registrar of Voters indicate that the Republican Poll voters stayed at home as well.

This is what happens when there is a RINO running for President, an unknown senate candidate and no Republicans running for congress in the 66th. If half the Republicans who voted just two years ago had voted instead of sitting this election out then Muratsuchi would have lost and the Democrats would not now have their 2/3 supermajority they need to raise taxes without voter approval.

What does this say about the possibility of removing the oil drilling ban at the polls? 0% and the City and E&B are wasting our time and value resources. As Obama said lets move Forward. http://www.facebook.com/NoBPinHB?ref=hl
