Shoplifter steals $2,500 worth of cosmetics at Hermosa CVS

Early Thursday morning, Hermosa Beach police responded to a commercial burglary at CVS Pharmacy, where some $2,500 worth of cosmetic products were stolen. Around 8:45 a.m., a man walked into CVS Pharmacy, on the 100 block of Pacific Coast Highway, and fled with stolen products worth $2,500, according to police. The suspect cleaned out an entire section of the cosmetics area and loaded the products into a store hand basket.“According to the manager, that’s one of the most expensive things in the store,” Hermosa Police Sgt. Kevin Averill said. “… [The suspect] walked in empty handed, grabbed a basket, filled it up and boogied out.”

Surveillance footage shows the suspect entering a car awaiting him outside the store and leaving the premise.

The suspect is described as black male in his late 20s to late 30s, over 6 feet tall with a medium to heavy build. The getaway vehicle is described as a silver sedan vehicle.
